For years I have coached friends, family and colleagues in their writing, mostly walking them through their grad school entrance applications. I enjoy it so much I’ve decided to turn it into a business.
Using my 10+ years of experience as an editor and reporter, I basically approach it like a journalist. I interview the applicant to help them find the experiences and values they want to convey. I then help outline their essays and later provide honest, yet gentle editing and support. In some cases I help the person stay on track and meet their deadlines. |
